Like This (by Peter Preston) - from the Zen Fuse Box album Zero Down Time

LIKE THIS (written by Peter Preston)

"Wanna tell you a little story, about a girl I know..."
She's cool as the flip side of the pillow
And cold as an Appalachian spring
I have her a touch of my tequila
Now why would I do such a thing?
I don't know

Well can you take it like that?
Yeah you take it like that?
Can you take it like that?
Can you take it like this?
Oh man, here she go again...

She moved in all of her best intentions
And pulled virgin wool over my eyes
She took all my time and consideration
And left when I gave that girl a ring

Well can you take it like that?

Yeah can you take it like that?

Well can you take it like that?

Can you take it like this?

Well I saw her a year after the leaving

She said "hey, don't I know you?"

I'd seen that she  had not done much grieving

I said "yeah, I remember you"

Well can you take it like that?

Yeah can you take it like that?

Well can you take it like that?

Can you take it like this?
