10th Anniversary Re-Imaginations of Zero Down Time!

We are really excited to announce the release of our latest album, "10th Anniversary Re-Imaginations of Zero Down Time."

It's hard to believe today is 10 years (to the day!) since the release of our debut album! It's even harder to believe we can still stand each other after all that time (all this social distancing probably helps).

"Zero Down Time" reflected the way we recorded this album. Basically in a weekend's time, with a few overdubs here and there afterwards. The only full song not recorded over that one weekend was the opener "Silly Stuff," which was written by Steve after we decided we needed a peppy opening number. If memory serves, "Peppy Opening Number," was even the working title for the song!

It was quite a surreal scene when Rich and Pete piled every bit of musical gear they owned into Steve's small recording studio. You never know what you might need! A didgeridoo or two? Check. A full size PA system? Why not. Pete brought the trombone he played in high school, and thank the Kraken he did, because it has provided the longest inside joke the band has had. Ask one of us why the phrase "What about the slide thing?" has appeared on every single cd we've released.

This new collection isn't made to replace the original album. It's rather a re-framing of selected songs, with fresh mixes and a few new elements added in.

Rich has summed up the essence of the album as "three long time friends collaborating on a collection of original tunes over a short time. A recipe of eclectic inspiration, perspiration, lunar infusion, and generous helping of barley pop to help smooth out the flavors."

We don't know what a few of those words mean, but it sounds smart.

We hope you'll check out the album on Spotify, or YouTube or wherever you get your music (and even compare it to the original if you're so inclined). CD's are available too, so let us know if you're interested in finding out how to get one!
