Greenhouse Blues (Bodacious Remix)

From our latest album of 10th anniversary remixes, here’s “Greenhouse Blues!” This was a tune that Rich played with The Forefathers long before ZFB was born. A couple of times Steve was even spotted filling in with that band. Enter Pete, and all of a sudden we had lyrics! However, they didn’t have much to do with the title (hence Steve’s post hoc old-timey intro that concludes “no one wants to sing about the Greenhouse Blues”). Nevertheless, Pete’s “I get up every morning whether I want to or not” lyrics were great, and certainly more entertaining than a carbon dioxide essay. A great band memory is performing this one live at the ArtsFest in Stuart, Florida a few years back and having a group of awesome dancers join us on stage. They looked a lot better on stage than we do!

Some notes about how the remix differs from the original:

First of all there's a bunch less reverb, which applies to almost all of the remixes on the new cd. We were very excited about reverb back in 2010 it seems.

The drums drop out on the slide guitar solo on the remix.

There are a few backing vocals that didn't make the cut on the original release.

There are probably some other changes, but you can listen and decide what they are!
