ArtsFest Peformance

On February 21, 2016, ZFB performed at ArtsFest, at Memorial Park, in downtown Stuart Florida.  We had a great time at the show!

As is our tradition, when we perform in Stuart we stay at the Old Colorado Inn, which is a lovely spot.  Upon arrival on February 20th, Pete and Steve got the grand tour before Rich arrived, and then walked over to ArtFest to check out the scene for our show the next day.  When Rich arrived we hunkered down for an intensive rehearsal of our set, and once satisfied with that we headed out on the town.  A word of advice, while the Three Daughters Brewing Company's Bourbon Barrel Aged Porter is delicious, it's also quite potent. A good time was had by all, and hardly anyone peed in their pants.

Our performance was at noon on Sunday, and it was a lot of fun.  In addition to our striking physical presence on the stage, we were happy to be joined by dancers from the Preston Contemporary Dance Theatre on our opening song, and we were also pleased to find out that our friends from Sinsational Pole Dance Studio were performing pretty much right in front of us, providing the audience with some awesome visuals to complement our set.  It was good to catch up with all of them, and we are looking forward to future collaborations with both groups.

Our hour-long set flew by in the blink of an eye, and for those of you who are curious, here's what we played:

Greenhouse Blues (from our first album Zero Down Time)

Dreamland (also from Zero Down Time)

Honky Tonk Women (a Rolling Stones cover, slated to appear on our next album Sound Revival)

Song 23 (from our second album Dogs in Helicopters)

Junk in the Trunk (also from Dogs in Helicopters)

Mean Mistreater (an as-yet unreleased tune, that will appear on a future ZFB release)

Roses Red (from Zero Down Time)

Confused (from Dogs in Helicopters)

I Feel Fine (our quirky reggae/bluegrass version of the Beatles tune, which maybe we should record one day)
